Ep 34. Amore Teppanyaki
In this episode, JD of Set Lunch interviews a husband and wife entrepreneur duo named Awi and Linda who operates Amore Teppanyaki, Japanese concept foodtruck in Bukit Bintang. Amore Teppanyaki brings a new and localised take on the concept of teppanyaki with special sauces catered to the Malaysian palate.
Amore Teppanyaki is the brainchild of Awi, a cook trained in Japanese restaurants prior to his resignation and subsequent opening of his foodtruck business. Sharing with us their journey from starting out in Danau Kota to moving on to operate in Bukit Bintang, this podcast features their anecdotes on running a foodtruck business. Together with his wife who runs the day to day operations, he divulges the secret recipe to starting and running a successful foodtruck in one of Klang Valley’s most cutthroat industries.
“Amore” is a Japanese word meaning “more” when it comes to food portions!
